Heritage Committee
The Yellowknife Heritage Committee was established by City Council in February 1985 by Heritage Committee By-Law No. 2955 . The Committee consists of eleven members representing the community: two City Councillors and nine representatives from the community who are appointed by Council.Heritage By-law No. 4540 establishes the responsibilities of the Heritage Committee for designating and recognizing heritage resources, as well as the processes and criteria for the restoration of heritage resources.

Heritage Walking
The Heritage Committee has produced walking tour brochures for both New and
Heritage Art:
The Heritage Committee has also acquired an inventory of heritage artworks. These artworks and displays can be viewed at City Hall, the Library and the Multiplex.
Meetings:
