2013 NorthWords Writers Festival |
| The NorthWords Writers Festival is coming to Yellowknife on May 30, 2013 as award-winning authors and storytellers joins local writers for five days of literary events. Click here for more information about the upcoming program in Yellowknife. Also get ready for the 2013 Great Northern Canada Writing Contest. Yellowknife Public Library is excited to support this year's festival by hosting the Children’s Story Hour on Saturday June 1, from 10:30 – 11:30 am in the library meeting room. This is a storytelling and reading programs for children, ages 6 – 10 with Sylvia Olsen, Fran Hurcomb and Richard Van Camp (MC). |
TD Canadian Children's Book Week (May 4-11) |
| TD Canadian Children's Book Week is the single most important national event celebrating Canadian children’s books and the importance of reading.
