Subscribe to RSS FEED
The Yellowknife Harbour Plan provides a long-range vision for the Yellowknife Bay Harbour as well as establishing recommendations for the implementation of a Harbour Management Strategy. |
Harbour Plan Implementation - Community Engagement
The City would like to thank everyone who participated in the Open House presenting the draft design concepts for the Government Dock and Pilot's Monument on Wednesday, March 13. Over a hundred people attended the Open House resulting in a lively discussion and providing lots of constructive feedback on the design concepts.
For those of you who were unable to attend, the Draft Design Concepts for the Government Dock and Pilot's Monument have been posted on the web. Please take a look and tell us what you think.
The Final Draft Design Concepts for the two sites will be presented this spring.
The City hosted two Design Workshops: one for the Government Dock on February 19th and one for Pilot's Monument on February 20th. Click here to view the Place Maps capturing the participants ideas, to read a summary of the feedback, and to submit ideas online.

- Neighbourhoods & Districts
Harbour Plan - Community Engagement
The Yellowknife Harbour Plan was developed as a result of considerable public consultation including a telephone survey, focus groups, public workshops, and open houses, as well as an online opportunity to provide feedback on the draft Plan.
The Yellowknife Harbour Planning Committee also dedicated considerable time and effort to the creation of the Harbour Plan.
