Recycling
REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE!
Welcome to the City of Yellowknife's recycling webpage! On this site you should now be able to find more information on the current recycling program, including pages on composting and a link to the new Beverage Container Program. Remember, there is "Cash in your Trash"!
For more information on the Beverage Container Program and Single Use Bags, please visit www.icarenwt.ca .
The City of Yellowknife is pleased to inform residents that starting June 1, 2010, all recycling depots will accept #2, #3, #5, and #7 plastics. This includes yogurt, ice cream, and margarine containers, but not limited too. Containers that are not accepted are syrup bottles and ketchup bottles. Please check your containers for the appropriate number and remember to rinse and crush them before recycling.
