Express Routes
Express Route Information
There are two express routes that operate in the City of Yellowknife. These routes are designed to take people from/to the Borden/Northlands and Range Lake areas to/from the downtown core during the morning and afternoon peak times. The only stops these buses make are at the designated Express stops as shown on the Route 1 schedule.
Borden/Northlands
The Borden/Northlands express route begins at 7:50 am and picks up at designated stops on Borden Drive, Magrum Crescent and Norseman Drive. It then heads downtown and drops off at the Northwestel Tower, A&W and the High Schools.
In the afternoon, the route picks up at the high schools at 3:45 pm and heads to the designated express stops on Norseman, Magrum and Borden.
Frame Lake South
The Frame Lake South express route has two buses in the morning. One begins at 7:50 am and the other begins at 8:00 am. Both buses pick up at the designated stops on Finlayson Drive, Woolgar Avenue and Byrne Road, then head downtown and drop off at the Northwestel Tower, A&W and the high schools.
In the afternoon there is one bus which picks up at the high schools at 3:45 pm and heads to the designated express stops on Byrne Road, Woolgar and Finlayson.
