City Staff Recognized for Long Service
On Friday, January 27, 2012 the City of Yellowknife recognized 24 of its employees for their long service. Jim Mercereau was recognized for 20 years of service. Mercereau is the City’s Assistant Supervisor of the Roads and Sidewalks Division. Jim joined the City as an Equipment Operator in April of 1991. In May of 2003 he became the Sub-foreman of Roads and Sidewalks then in December he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent.
Also recognized were: 15 years of service: Debbie Gillard, Deborah Bruser, Joe Vodnoski and Ron McNabb. 10 years of service: Ben Sooley, Denise Pyke, Ian Whitford, Desmond Reddick and Jim Jenkins. 5 years of service: Jeff Humble, Tammy Friesen, Brian Noseworthy, Bob Madore, Nalini Naidoo, Stacey Blondin, Delia Nitu, Jamie Fudge, Greg Griffiths, Wendy Alexander, Mark Henry, Don Fenwick, Murray Ryder, Trevor Jewer and Warren Schurman.
