Amnesty Days


Amnesty days are held for residents to drop off excess garbage at the Solid Waste Facility. On amnesty days, the Residential Vehicle Charge for the disposal of residential waste is waived. Other tipping fees will still apply. Please see our Fees and Charges By-law No. 4436 for more information on tipping fees.

Christmas Amnesty Day, December 27

Amnesty days no longer include Household Hazardous Waste Day as Household Hazardous Waste is accepted daily at the Solid Waste Facility and is included in the residential $10.00 minimum fee. Commercial Hazardous waste is not accepted at the Solid Waste Facility.

Christmas Trees

For the months of December and January, Christmas Trees can be dropped off at the Solid Waste Facility free of charge.
