Learn About Your Sexual Health

The Yellowknife Public Library in parternship with the Northwest
Territories Health and Social Services Authority is offering a
information session on Sexual Health. Come talk to a public health
nurse and learn about:
▪ immunizations
▪ birth control
▪ sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

Yellowknife Public Library offers a fast growing collection of online resources, including ebooks and audiobooks. We invite you to meet one-on-one with a librarian to learn how to download e-books, and Audiobooks from the library's collection onto your e-reader, mobile device, or laptop.

You can also learn how to use the library's other great digital resources including Rocket Languages and Freegal Music.

Colour Me Happy

Colouring is a great way to de-stress and have fun! Check out our selection of colouring sheets and supplies for adults & teens in the magazine area. Plus, you can submit your masterpiece for a chance to win a great book bundle!



Children (birth to 12 years old)


Tuesday Toddler Time  18-36 months (Drop in: No registration required)

Let your toddler explore the world through stories, rhymes, finger plays and songs that reinforce language development and learning. This lively and interactive program offers special one-on-one time for children and their caregivers. Admission is free. The programming will be followed by a half hour of socialization time.

Wednesday Pre-School Story Time 3 - 5 years (Drop in: No registration required)

Story Time is a fun way to introduce your child to the joys of books and learning. Join us for stories, fun, and crafts in the library meeting room. We ask that a parent or caregiver attend with the child. Admission is free.

Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Thursday Baby Time 0 - 18 months (Drop in: No registration required)

Join us for a program that introduces you and your baby to the joy of music, rhyme, lap play, and more. This early childhood literacy program is for children aged 18 months and younger and their parent or caregiver. Siblings welcome. Admission is free. The program will be followed by a half hour of socialization time.

TAILS: Read to a dog!

Children aged 6‐12 can practice their reading one‐on-one

with a specially trained St John Ambulance therapy dog.

Reading to a dog is calming and reduces anxiety. It is perfect for shy or less confident readers.

Sessions are 20 minutes long, between 1pm ‐ 2pm on Saturdays.

Polar Express Party (4-8 years old)

Join us for our annual reading of The Polar Express as well as other great holiday tales! Afterwards, rotate through the holiday craft stations and create gifts that express your unique style.

Register at the circulation desk by December 5
