 Interested in running a Drop-in Program?

The City of Yellowknife offers a variety of drop-in programming such as Lawn Bowling, Basketball, Tennis and Pickleball. We are currently seeking residents who share an interest or skill that would be interested in running sessions as available. Commitment can be as little as 90 minutes a week! New program suggestions are always welcome. For more information, email cs@yellowknife.ca.

What to Expect

Registration and check-in

Upon arrival at the facility, please check-in with the front desk for payment. 

For Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Ultimate

After checking in, go to your assigned player bench to change footwear and play.  After activity you have 10 minutes to leave the facility.

Please bring your own equipment, only Pickleball paddles are available for rent.

For Shiny

After checking in, go to your assigned dressing room no more than 15 minutes prior. After activity you have 15 minutes to leave the facility.

For Public Skates

After checking in, there will be chairs placed 2m apart for you to change into appropriate footwear.  There are no dressing rooms available.

For Public Swims

Regular pool operating hours will continue at this time with staff monitoring the water every hour, and sanitizing all touchpoints and surfaces several times a day. We ask residents who become ill to stay home and look after themselves and encourage those you know are sick to do the same. The main pool and hot tub facilities will be available for use.
