The City of Yellowknife envisions that every citizen living in Yellowknife should have an equal opportunity to enjoy using our many facilities regardless of financial circumstances.
ATCO presents the Access for All program, providing free access to our drop-in recreational activities and Public Transit for low-income residents and/or families.
Eligible Yellowknifers should submit an application form after reviewing the Access for All policy.
What's included?
A three-year Transit Pass and Family Flexi Pass membership.
This provides access to:
- YKTransit and YKFlex where applicable
- All public and family activities at the:
- ATCO Aquatic Centre
- Multiplex
- Fieldhouse
- All Drop-in Activities (additional charges will apply for climbing equipment rentals)
Activities not included are:
- City of Yellowknife Registered Programs
Please note that all facility rules, regulations, and guidelines will still apply to all users of these passes.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for Access for All, you must be a resident of Yellowknife. You will need to provide one of the following for every member of your household over the age of 18:
- Income Assistance Financial Case Report from the GNWT Department of Education, Culture and Employment
- Current Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment.
Access for All is designed for individuals and families whose combined net family income per household falls within or below the qualifying income below:

Please submit your application form by:
- Dropping off the completed application form and supporting documents at City Hall
- Emailing applications and supporting documents to @email
What if I’m not approved?
If your financial situation has changed, you are welcome to reapply. There is no waiting period required. Please call us at (867) 920-5686 or email @email to discuss your application.
What if I lose my Flexi Pass or Transit Pass?
A $5 replacement charge will be applied if you lose your Flexi Pass. You can pick up a replacement Flexi Pass at City Hall, the ATCO Aquatic Centre or the Fieldhouse. A $5 replacement charge will also be applied if you lose your Transit Pass. Replacement Transit Passes can only be picked up at City Hall.
