Voyent Alert! is a free emergency notification system that delivers real‑time alerts from the City about local emergencies, such as severe weather, wildfires, evacuations, and other critical events that may affect you. You choose how you want to receive alerts: via the mobile app, text message, email, and/or automated phone call.
Note: Voyent Alert! is a separate alert system from NWT Alert, which is managed by the Government of the Northwest Territories.
It is recommended that residents use Voyent Alert! and NWT Alert, as both apps are designed to provide important updates during emergencies.
How to Get It
- Download the Voyent Alert! app from your app store or register online at register.voyent-alert.com
- Enter the address or location you want to receive alerts, and/or choose how you want alerts delivered
- Once you are registered, you can log in to your account at any time and register for additional notification methods or add new locations. Set as many location pins as you like in Yellowknife, N'dilo, Dettah, and nearby areas (e.g., portions of the Ingraham Trail)
