Lost Pets

Losing a pet can be stressful. That’s why our eService portal can help residents alike find the owner(s) of their respective animal.

The Municipal Enforcement Division is responsible for dog control duties. If you find a lost dog, you can call the Municipal Enforcement Division or use the eService portal below to try to find the dog's owner.

The community also has an active social page called Yellowknife Lost/Found Pets in the event that an animal is loose. This is not a substitute for calling MED, but a great way to be good neighbours and report the animal on multiple platforms.
