Looking to apply for a Secure Certificate of Indian Status or Status card in Yellowknife?

Steps to apply for a status card (16+) include:

  1. Fill out forms, provide documents, and photos as part of your application

    • Valid identification, signed and dated by a guarantor
    • Guarantor declaration, if necessary
  2. Submit your application

Note: for in-person submissions, please call the regional office ahead of time to make an appointment or find out walk-in availability. 

Once you’ve submitted a complete application, the standard processing time is 8 to 12 weeks.
