Have you been tending a colourful flower bed, growing fresh vegetables, or creating a beautiful backyard oasis? Now's your chance to share your hard work with the community!
Garden Competition registration is open August 1–10. Winners will be chosen in each category based on the highest number of public votes, and their gardens will be featured on the City's website and social media.

Every vote celebrates the creativity, care, and dedication that local gardeners have put into making our city more vibrant and beautiful.
One winner will be selected from each category. The submission in each category that receives the highest number of votes will be declared the category winner.

Gardening of all types in small spaces such as plots, patios, and balconies. -
Bee Friendly
Environmental and pollinator-friendly gardens with little to no lawn, showcasing alternative and eco-conscious landscaping. -
Vegetable Garden
Gardens focused on vegetables, herbs, and other edible plants. -
Flower Garden
Gardens that are welcoming and visually appealing, featuring an abundance of blooming flowers and strong curb appeal. -
Container Garden
Creative container gardening in small spaces, including plots, patios, and balconies. -
Rock Garden
Gardens that feature rocks and stone elements while showcasing creativity and resilience in northern horticulture.
