The City of Yellowknife provides safe, reliable water and sewer services to residents and businesses throughout the community.
Our drinking water comes from the Yellowknife River and from Yellowknife Bay when necessary, and is carefully treated and tested to meet strict territorial and federal standards before it reaches your tap. Most properties are connected to underground water and sewer lines, while some areas receive water delivery and sewage pump-out service by truck.
We regularly maintain and upgrade our infrastructure to ensure dependable service year-round.

Residents are also encouraged to use our online reporting tool (Click & Fix YK) to report an issue.

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Statutory holidays excluded.
