The City of Yellowknife (the City) invites residents to ring in 2025 by joining us for the City’s annual fireworks display. The show will take place on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. Residents can enjoy the show from the Somba K’e Civic Plaza, as the fireworks will be set off on Frame Lake.
Please be aware of the following safety reminders:
- If viewing the fireworks near Frame Lake, be sure to avoid the fireworks area. The fireworks area is the area where the fireworks will be set off. This area is outlined in red on the map below. The sections on the map highlighted in green represent the best spots to safely view the show.
- Residents are asked to stay clear of the fireworks area until noon on Thursday, January 1, 2025 to allow our crews to complete a safety inspection in the daylight; and
- Please leave pets at home.
