Residents rely on City facilities every day, from visiting the library to accessing services. As Yellowknife continues to grow, the City is asking for input on how these facilities are working and how they can best support the community.

Super Bingo 2026

The City of Yellowknife is now accepting applications from eligible religious and charitable organizations to host Super Bingo 2026, a licensed bingo event that provides an opportunity to raise significant funds for community programs and services. The Super Bingo is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Super Bingo events are larger in scale and feature prize payouts ranging from $50,000 up to $100,000.

Parking Meter Rate Changes Take Effect May 1, 2026

The City of Yellowknife advises residents and visitors that updated parking meter rates will take effect on May 1, 2026, following City Council's approval in December 2025. These changes are part of an amendment to Fees and Charges By-law No. 4436 and apply to all parking meters across the city. What’s changing:
- Parking meter rates will increase across all meter types
- Nickels (5 cents) will no longer be accepted at 1- and 2-hour parking meters
- No changes are being made to Parking Certificate Services
