Back to SearchThe City of Yellowknife would like to inform residents about planned construction projects scheduled to take place throughout the city this summer. These projects include:
- Replacement of watermain, sanitary and storm sewer piping, and residential service connections on Mandeville Drive, from Finlayson Drive to Hordal Road.
- Replacement of watermain, sanitary and storm sewer piping, and residential service connections on 41A Street and 49A Avenue, between 41 Street and 42 Street.
- Pavement replacement on 49A Avenue, from 43 Street to 42 Street.
- Paving and installation of curb and sidewalk on Spence Road, from Hordal Road to Bagon Drive.
- Replacement of asphalt, curb, and sidewalk on 54 Avenue, from 52 Street to 49 Street.
- City-wide small to medium repairs to road asphalt, sidewalks, and underground infrastructure.
- Replacement of the scale and gatehouse at the Solid Waste Facility.
The City thanks residents for their patience as the construction season begins. Temporary road or lane closures will be required to complete this work. Please observe posted signage, reduce speeds in construction zones, and plan ahead when commuting, as traffic delays can be expected in affected areas.
