Council And Committee Meetings Moving to Wednesdays Beginning February 1, 2026

The City of Yellowknife wishes to advise the public of the upcoming schedule change for Council and Committee meetings.

Effective February 1, 2026, the Governance and Priorities Committee meetings previously scheduled for Mondays at 12:05 p.m. will now be held on Wednesdays at 12:05 p.m. on the first, second, and third Wednesdays of the month, unless otherwise specified or provided for in the Council Procedures By-law.

Council meetings previously scheduled for Mondays at 7:00 p.m. will now take place on Wednesdays at 12:05 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise specified or provided for in the Council Procedures By-law.

Special meetings of Council may be called outside these dates and times for Public Hearings or time-sensitive matters. Meeting dates and times will be determined by the subject matter and are set at the Mayor's discretion.

Meetings will remain open to the public and streamed online. Agendas and minutes will be posted on the City’s website prior to each meeting.
