The City of Yellowknife’s (the City) Annual Garden Competition is back by popular demand!

This year’s garden competition will take place from Tuesday, August 1, 2023, to Friday, August 11. A fun way to recognize gardeners in Yellowknife who have the green thumb that beautify our city, residents can nominate local gardens online for a number of categories. To learn more about the categories, please see the City’s website. Following nominations, residents can vote on which garden they feel deserves the title!

Nominations will be accepted online until Sunday, August 6, 2023 in the following categories:

• Tiny Garden;

• Bee Friendly;

• Vegetable Garden;

• Flower Garden;

• Container Garden;

• Rock Garden;

• Front Yard/Curb Appeal.
