The City of Yellowknife is pleased to be offering several fun and engaging programs over March Break. Whether kids are keen to learn new skills in the pool or get creative with arts and crafts during our Day Camp, participants are sure to have a good time.

The March Break Day Camp is geared towards children ages 7 to 12 years old and will run in two sessions: Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 15, and Monday, March 18 to Friday, March 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Kids are welcome to sign up for one or both weeks. The cost for each week is $300.50.

In addition to Day Camp, private and group swimming lessons of varied levels will be offered at the Ruth Inch Memorial Pool throughout March Break. Come make a splash with us in our intensive swimming lessons, which will run Monday to Thursday from March 11to March 21.

Swimmers wishing to further develop their skills are invited to sign up for our advanced swimming courses, which cater to those on track to becoming a certified lifeguard. Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross with CPR-C, Intermediate First Aid and the National Lifeguard Certification course will be offered over the break. Swimmers who successfully complete the Bronze Cross with CPR-C or the National Lifeguard Certification course will be eligible to apply for a job at the pool!
