Parking Meter Rate Changes

In February 2024, Council passed an amendment to the Fees and Charges By-law No. 4436, increasing rates for all parking meters in Yellowknife.

Starting today, April 17, until April 30, the Municipal Enforcement Division will be working across the city to reprogram all parking meters with the new rates. During this transition period, residents may notice some parking meters at the previous rate and some at new rates. The Passport Parking Canada App will be updated with the new rates on May 1, 2024.

Parking meter rates have been increased to $2.50 per hour at 1 and 2-hour meters. Rates for 9-hour meters have increased to $1.00 per hour.
