The City of Yellowknife invites all residents to join the Canadian Armed Forces in paying tribute to those who have served defending our values and freedoms, as well as honoring those who continue to serve our country today, at the 2025 Remembrance Day Parade on November 11, 2025.
The parade will begin at 9:55 a.m. with a ceremony at the Cenotaph, located between City Hall and the RCMP G Division Headquarters on 49 Avenue. Following the ceremony, the parade will proceed along 49 Avenue, turn onto 49 Street, and continue to 51 Avenue, concluding at St. Patrick High School, where an indoor ceremony will commence at 1050.
In observance of Remembrance Day, City of Yellowknife facilities and services will operate as follows:
• City Hall: Closed
• Solid Waste Facility: Closed
• Garbage Collection: Operating as per regular schedule
• Trucked Water and Sewer Pumpout: Operating as per regular schedule
• Fieldhouse: Open from 12p.m. – 6p.m.
• Multiplex: Open from 12p.m. – 6p.m.
• Aquatic Centre: Open from 12p.m. – 1p.m. for lane swim and 1p.m. – 5p.m. for public swim
• Yellowknife Community Arena: Open from 12p.m. – 6p.m.
• Yellowknife Public Library: Closed
• Visitor Information Centre: Open from 10a.m. – 6p.m.
• YKTransit (including YKFlex): Not operating
