Win Your Spot: 2026 Food Truck Lottery

The 2026 Food Truck Lottery will take place on Friday, May 22, at 11:00 a.m. in City Hall Council Chambers.

Food truck operators must hold a valid 2026 food truck licence to be eligible for a designated parking spot in Yellowknife’s downtown. Entry into the lottery is automatic for all licensed vendors.

Individuals who are interested but do not yet hold a valid licence must submit all required documentation to the City by Friday, May 15, 2026. The order in which vendors choose their assigned parking locations will be determined by lottery. All selections are final and may not be changed once made.
