Further to the media advisory published on September 22, 2025, regarding the City network security incident restoration, the City of Yellowknife advises that CityExplorer has now been successfully restored.
 
CityExplorer is the City’s interactive mapping portal, offering access to mapping information related to several municipal services, including planning and development, public works, recreation, solid waste, and transit. The platform was rebuilt as part of the City’s response to the cyber incident. While the core functionality remains consistent, users may observe minor changes to the interface. The City thanks all residents for their patience and understanding while this service was offline.
 
Click and Fix YK remains unavailable, and residents are requested to submit non-emergency issues related to City infrastructure to CustomerService@yellowknife.ca
