Electrical Fire at Forman Court

On Monday, June 16, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., the Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) responded to a report of fire and smoke at a residence on Forman Court.
Upon arrival, firefighters determined that the incident was an electrical fire located in the homeowner’s basement. Before YKFD’s arrival, the homeowner had shut off power to the affected appliance, and the fire had extinguished itself.
