The City of Yellowknife has partnered with the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation to plant trees that will serve as a windbreak for the McNiven Tennis Courts and beautify the area. A TD Tree Day, an urban greening program, is taking place on September 15, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the McNiven Tennis Courts. TD Tree Days provide residents and communities the opportunity to volunteer and help build healthy, vibrant communities by caring for their local environment. The City encourages residents to come out and join us for this event. Visit the TD Tree Day website for more information and to sign up to volunteer time: https://www.tdtreedays.com/en-ca/events/1387-mcniven-tennis-courts.
