Structure fire at Banke Crescent on May 11, 2026

On Monday, May 11, at approximately 11:10 a.m., the City of Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) responded to a reported structure fire at Banke Crescent.

Upon arrival, responding crews observed flames and smoke emanating from the front of the building. A total of 16 firefighters were deployed to the scene, and the fire was quickly brought under control and fully extinguished.
