City Expands Online Self-Serve Booking Services for Recreation Facilities

The City of Yellowknife Program Division is pleased to announce an expansion of its online self-serve booking services. Residents and visitors can now reserve additional facilities through the City’s recreation booking system, PerfectMind. The following facilities are now available for online booking:

  • Fieldhouse fields
  • Multiplex ice
  • Aquatic Centre meeting rooms
These additions complement the existing options of the Multiplex gym and Multiplex meeting rooms already accessible through the system.

Structure Fire on Borden Drive

On Thursday, October 30, 2025, at approximately 2:56 p.m., the City of Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) responded to a reported structure fire at 248 Borden Drive, which was initially reported by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

Upon arrival, the crew observed smoke emanating from the back of the building. A total of 19 firefighters were deployed to the scene, and the fire was promptly brought under control and fully extinguished.

Fire crews remained on site until approximately 4:44 p.m....
