The City of Yellowknife, together with community partners are once again celebrating World Snow Day.  This event is promoted by the International Ski Federation encouraging everyone around the world to celebrate snow and the great outdoors.

A variety of activities are scheduled for Sunday, January 20, 2019 thanks to participating community organizations;  Yellowknife Ski Club, Yellowknife Ultimate Club, YK Beach Volleyball, Great Slave Snowmobile Association, Ragged Riders Snowsports Society, and Ecology North. All activities are offered to the public free of charge and open to all ages.  Participants are advised to dress appropriately for each activity.

”These free events are a great way to get outdoors and celebrate our winter city.  I encourage Yellowknifers to participate with family and friends. Try something new or play your favorite sport” said Mayor Alty.
