City of Yellowknife Holiday municipal service schedule is as follows:

CITY HALL will close at 12:00 noon on December 24, 2024 & at 3:00 p.m. on December 31, 2024 and will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2024 and on January 1, 2025.

SOLID WASTE FACILITY will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2024 and January 1, 2025. Holiday hours of operation for the Solid Waste Facility can be found here.

The City of Yellowknife would like to remind residents that property taxes can be paid by pre-authorized monthly payments. Signing up for automatic payments helps to ensure that no interest incurs on late payments. The deadline to enroll for pre-authorized monthly payments is January 15 and July 15 of each year.

To sign up for pre-authorized payments, submit the completed pre-authorization form, along with a void cheque, to the City of Yellowknife one of the following ways:
