44 St. Parking Signage and Restrictions

The City of Yellowknife (the City) wishes to advise residents of signage and restriction changes on 44th Street (Summit Condos access road).

As of today, April 26, new signage has been installed on the Summit Condos access road near the parking area of École St. Patrick High School. With warmer weather on the horizon and the return of longer days, the City of Yellowknife is once again offering Spring Clean-Up service contracts to non-profit organizations. This long-running program offers $550 to community groups to clean up an assigned area in the city following the spring snowmelt.

Resignation of City Manager

The City of Yellowknife is sad to announce that John Collin has tendered his resignation as City Manager for personal reasons. His final day with the City of Yellowknife will be May 13, 2024.

“This is unexpected but Council would like to extend our best wishes to John,” said Mayor Rebecca Alty. “Council is determining next steps to fill the City Manager position given this unexpected news. We will update when further information is confirmed, and will appoint an interim City Manager by May 13.”
