Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Yellowknife will hold a special meeting of Council at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025 in the Council Chamber, City Hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to:

  • adopt Minutes of Council for the special meeting of Monday, October 14, 2025;
  • adopt Minutes of Council for the regular meeting of Monday, October 27, 2025;
  • consider the October 27, 2025 Governance and Priorities Committee Report;
  • consider the November 3, 2025 Governance and Priorities Committee Report and whether
    to:
    • direct Administration to commence engagement with Indigenous partners on the recommendations to advance Reconciliation set out in the “Walking Forward Together: Yellowknife’s Reconciliation Roadmap Report”; and
    • adopt the Tax Ratio Approach to draft the Mill Rate Policy and to keep the tax ratio between the Residential and Commercial/Industrial classes at 1:2.

This Special Meeting has been called by the City Manager of the City of Yellowknife pursuant to Section 27 of the Cities, Towns and Villages Act of the Northwest Territories and Section 9 of By-law No. 4975, the Council Procedures By-law.
