With Yellowknife’s municipal election approaching, residents may be thinking more about who serves on Council, how local decisions are made, and what the role actually involves.
Following its first session in June 2026, the City of Yellowknife is bringing Candidate College back on September 1, giving residents another opportunity to gain local insight into municipal leadership and the realities of serving in elected office.
On Sept 1st, Candidate College will offer residents an opportunity to ask questions and hear from elected officials and Administration about what it means to serve as Mayor or Councillor in the City of Yellowknife.
