The City of Yellowknife, in partnership with Western Arctic Moving Pictures (WAMP), is pleased to present the return of the Drive-In Movie Nights this fall!
This year, we'll be featuring two screenings on both September 25th and Oct 9th, 2026, for your viewing pleasure.
September 25th
7:00 p.m. - Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (PG)
A 2009 animated comedy film about a young inventor named Flint Lockwood who builds a machine that makes delicious food fall from the sky, a perfect watch for the family.
9:00 p.m. - Twister (PG-13)
A 1996 action-packed disaster movie about a team of storm chasers racing to study powerful tornadoes. They track dangerous storms across Oklahoma, while also dealing with personal tensions within the team.
October 9th
7:00 p.m. - Casper (PG)
A 1995 family-friendly movie about a friendly young ghost named Casper who lives in a haunted mansion. When a girl named Kat and her father move in, Casper befriends her while the other mischievous ghosts cause trouble. Together, they uncover secrets about Casper’s past and what it means to belong.
9:00 p.m. - Practical Magic (PG-13)
A 1998 romantic fantasy about two sisters from a magical family who are raised with a curse that makes the men they love die. As adults, they try to live normal lives, but when love and danger collide, they must use their powers and their bond as sisters to break the curse.
