The City of Yellowknife is bringing back its Annual Flexi Pass Sale, offering residents 20% off annual Flexi Passes on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The sale is an opportunity to recognize the progress made at the ATCO Aquatic Centre over the past year and invite residents to continue being part of its growing recreation community.
Over the past year, the ATCO Aquatic Centre has continued to grow as a recreation destination for Yellowknifers, welcoming an average of 3,000 visitors each week. Seasonal swimming lesson registration has also increased from an average of 400 participants last year to 600 this year.
“The Flexi Pass offers residents more than access to the ATCO Aquatic Centre, it provides opportunities to stay active across several of the City’s recreation facilities,” said Carly Saunders, Acting Director of Community Services. “With access to drop-in programs at the Multiplex and Fieldhouse, the pass gives residents greater flexibility to choose activities that fit their interests and schedules. We hope the sale encourages more residents to discover activities they enjoy and make healthy, active choices throughout the year.”
Annual Flexi Pass Sale
Current Flexi Pass holders whose passes expire before December 31, 2026, can purchase a new pass during the sale to extend their current pass. New Flexi Pass holders will have their passes activated immediately.

Highlights of the Past Year
The ATCO Aquatic Centre has continued to expand its programs, services and opportunities for residents. Highlights from the past year include:
• A new Swimmer Identity Card gives participants who successfully complete swimming courses a way to recognize their progress.
• SWIMGEN, a new online swimming progress report system, allows swimmers to track their development and supports continuity between sessions.
• Partnerships with community organizations provided sponsored free swims throughout the year.
• Multi-purpose rooms continued to support activities beyond recreation, including celebrations, public engagement meetings and City programs.
The City thanks our staff, lifeguards, instructors, maintenance and customer service, volunteers and community partners who have supported the ATCO Aquatic Centre over the past two years.
