This sculpture, created in 2009 by Yellowknife artist Francois Thibault depicts three drum dancers. It is located at the edge of Frame Lake in front of Yellowknife's City Hall.

On Monday, March 25, Yellowknife City Council declared a half-day civic holiday for Friday, April 5, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. in recognition of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation’s Spring Carnival.

In observance of the half-day civic holiday, City facilities will operate as follows:

  • City Hall: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Solid Waste Facility: Regular Hours
  • Fieldhouse: Regular hours
  • Multiplex: Regular hours
  • Ruth Inch Memorial pool: Regular hours
  • Yellowknife Public Library: Regular hours
  • YK Arena: Regular hours
  • Visitor Information Centre: Regular hours
