National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Holiday Hours

This sculpture, created in 2009 by Yellowknife artist Francois Thibault depicts three drum dancers. It is located at the edge of Frame Lake in front of Yellowknife's City Hall.

In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, please be advised of the following schedule changes for City of Yellowknife facilities:

Solid Waste Facility                             CLOSED

Visitor Information Centre                 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Yellowknife Public Library                  CLOSED

Fieldhouse and Multiplex                   12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Garbage & Compost Pick Up              Will remain the same

Sewage Pumpout/Water Delivery      Will remain the same

Ruth Inch Memorial pool

Lane Swim                                           12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Family Swim                                        1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Public Swim                                         3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

No Transit – Civic Holiday

There will be no transit service or Yellowknife Accessible Transit System on Monday, September 30, 2024 due to the Statutory Holiday.
