Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Yellowknife will hold a special meeting of the Governance and Priorities Committee at 12:05 p.m. on July 8, 2026, in the City Hall Council Chamber.
The purpose of this special meeting is to discuss:
- Whether to repeal and replace Livery Licence By-law No. 4526, as amended;
- Whether to approve a one-time Accessible Taxi Grant Program to support the conversion and acquisition of wheelchair-accessible taxi vehicles in Yellowknife; and
- Asset Management Program: Progress Report and Next Steps.
This Special Meeting has been called by the City Manager of the City of Yellowknife pursuant to Section 27 of the Cities, Towns and Villages Act of the Northwest Territories and Section 120 of By-law No. 5119, the Council Procedures By-law.
