Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Yellowknife will hold a special meeting of Council at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in the Council Chamber, City Hall.
The purpose of the meeting is to:
- Discuss a memorandum regarding whether to acquire and dispose of fee simple interest in Lot 142 Block 308 Plan 4809.
- Give First and Second Reading to By-law No. 5153, a by-law authorizing the City of Yellowknife to acquire fee simple interest in Lot 142 Block 308 Plan 4809;
- Give First and Second Reading to By-law No. 5154, by-law authorizing the City of Yellowknife to dispose of fee simple interest in Lot 142 Block 308 Plan 4809;
- Give Third Reading to By-law No 5149, a by-law authorizing the City of Yellowknife to acquire an interest in Commissioner’s Land described as Parcel A, Quad 85 J/8, as identified in Schedule “A” of By-law No. 5149;
- Give Third Reading to By-law No. 5150, a by-law authorizing the City of Yellowknife to acquire an interest in Commissioner’s Land described as Parcel B, Quad 85 J/8, as identified in Schedule “A” of By-law No. 5150;
- Give Third Reading to By-law No. 5151, a by-law amending By-law No. 5111 to update a legal description.
This Special Meeting has been called by the City Manager of the City of Yellowknife pursuant to Section 27 of the Cities, Towns and Villages Act of the Northwest Territories and Section 9 of By-law No. 5119, the Council Procedures By-law.
