Pumpkin Lane 2025

Wednesday, October 1, 2025
This sculpture, created in 2009 by Yellowknife artist Francois Thibault depicts three drum dancers. It is located at the edge of Frame Lake in front of Yellowknife's City Hall.

The City of Yellowknife is pleased to welcome the return of Pumpkin Lane this autumn.

This much-loved annual event invites residents to celebrate the Halloween season by contributing to a glowing display of creatively carved pumpkins.

Pumpkin Lane will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, and Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. along the McMahon Frame Lake Trail, near the Jumpstart Accessible Playground.

Community members are encouraged to take part by placing their pumpkins along the trail. Volunteers at the Welcome Tent will be available to provide lighting supplies and assist with set-up. Participants may also bring their own candles or battery-powered lights to brighten their displays.

So grab a pumpkin and start carving — let’s light up the trail!
