This sculpture, created in 2009 by Yellowknife artist Francois Thibault depicts three drum dancers. It is located at the edge of Frame Lake in front of Yellowknife's City Hall.

The City of Yellowknife is sad to announce that John Collin has tendered his resignation as City Manager for personal reasons. His final day with the City of Yellowknife will be May 13, 2024.

“This is unexpected but Council would like to extend our best wishes to John,” said Mayor Rebecca Alty. “Council is determining next steps to fill the City Manager position given this unexpected news. We will update when further information is confirmed, and will appoint an interim City Manager by May 13.”

In the interim, the work of the City continues under the strong leadership of City staff.
