The City of Yellowknife is reminding eligible voters who are unable to vote on Election Day, Monday, October 19, 2026, that they may vote in advance at the Office of the Returning Officer.
Advance voting will be available from October 5 to October 16, 2026, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

No appointment is required. Residents who have questions or require assistance in exploring alternative voting methods are encouraged to contact the Returning Officer before attending at 867-767-9100.
Who Can Vote?
To be eligible to vote, you must:
• be 18 years of age or older;
• be a Canadian citizen; and
• have been a resident of Yellowknife consecutively since October 19, 2025.
Voters should bring government-issued identification showing their name and residence, such as a driver's license or a health card paired with a utility bill.
