Don’t Miss Your Chance to Vote by Proxy!

Can’t make it to the polls on Election Day? You have options.

If you’re unable to vote in person on October 19, 2026, you can apply to vote by proxy.

Your vote helps elect the Mayor, City Council and School Board Trustees.

Proxy applications must be submitted by October 14 at 3 p.m. and must include a copy of the applicant’s ID in addition to the application form.

Your proxy must attend the Office of the Returning Officer at Elections NWT in person and provide government-issued identification.

Visit the Office of the Returning Officer to learn more about voting by proxy and other alternative voting options.
