Community Grant Program offers three ways to fund your initiative:
• Community Service Grants
• Multi-Year Grants
• Sponsorship Grants
Heritage Committee Grant Program supports one grant category:
• Heritage Committee Grants
Community Service, Multi-Year, and Sponsorship Grants provide funding to non-profit, community organizations for events, projects, or programs that align with Council's Strategic Directions. Successful projects should demonstrate a clear community impact and respond to genuine community needs. Applications for these three grants are reviewed annually by the Grant Review Committee.
Heritage Committee Grants support Yellowknife-based individuals, groups, partnerships, or business entities in promoting, celebrating, and preserving Yellowknife's rich heritage. It encourages initiatives that help to leave a lasting legacy for future generations. The Heritage Committee may award up to $5,000 per proposal. Requests exceeding $5,000, will require Council approval, and the maximum grant amount for any single project is $10,000.
