Pool Rentals

Rentals can be booked over the phone at (867) 920-5683 or in person at the Ruth Inch Memorial Pool. Payment in full is due at the time the rental is booked.

Rentals must be:

  • booked 48 hours in advance;
  • cancelled 5 days in advance for casual users;
  • cancelled 10 days in advance for special events.

  • Youth means a person between 7 and 17 years of age; or a person who holds a valid student card.
  • Adult means a person between 18-59 years of age.
  • Student means a person with a valid student card issued by an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Senior means a person 60 years of age and older.
  • Prime time is from 4:00 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and from 8:00 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays. Non-prime time is from midnight to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and from midnight to 8:00 a.m. on weekends.
  • Rental is 50 minutes with 10 minutes allocated for clean-up.
  • Private rentals are non-exclusive so there may be other activities happening (e.g. swimming lessons, deck rental, use of hot tub or showers).
  • Shared rentals are two or more groups using the facility or shared pool time during a Public or Family Swim.
  • *All solarium and deck rentals must include the additional lifeguard fee for clean-up and supervision
  • An additional lifeguard will be required if the renter wishes to use the ice mat during their rental period or the rental exceeds the 35 person limit which is included in the fee calculation.
  • The cost for larger rentals is calculated based on the number of guards required to supervise the rental and the length of the rental.  1 (one) additional lifeguard fee per hour is charged for each additional 35 people added to a rental.

 Birthday Parties

Pool Rentals are available now by calling 920-5683 or emailing pool@yellowknife.ca.

Economy Party

  • Cost - $225.50
  • One hour of shared pool time during a Public or Family Swim for up to 35 people.
  • 50 min + 10 min clean-up period on the pool deck to enjoy a meal and open gifts.
  • One host who will organize games and activities in the pool or assist with pool supervision, and one for assisting with the deck portion and after party clean up.
  • This price includes: 1 hour pool time (shared), 1 hour pool assistant, 1 hour deck time, 1 hour deck assistant and cleaning.
  • Renters provide their own food and beverages. No glass is allowed on the deck. No unsecured Helium balloons in the building.

 Luxury Party

  • Cost - $281.00
  • One hour of non-exclusive pool time during a regular rental time for up to 35 people.
  • 50 min + 10 min clean-up period on the pool deck to enjoy a meal and open gifts.
  • One host who will organize games and activities in the pool or assist with pool supervision, and one for assisting with the deck portion and after party clean up.
  • This price includes: 1 hour pool time (shared), 1 hour pool assistant, 1 hour deck time, 1 hour deck assistant and cleaning.
  • Renters provide their own food and beverages. No glass is allowed on the deck. No unsecured Helium balloons in the building.

 Note

  • All birthday parties must be booked at the pool or over the phone with pool staff at (867) 920-5683 or through email with pool@yellowknife.ca.
  • Non-exclusive use means that there may be other activities happening (e.g. swimming lessons, deck rental, use of hot tub or showers).
  • All birthday party packages must be booked by 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the rental. Parties booking after this deadline will pay the same rate but will not have a Pool Assistant to help with the party.
  • All solarium and deck rentals must include the additional lifeguard fee for clean-up and supervision.
  • Solarium rental will begin once more May 7th and are 50 minutes with 10 minutes allocated for clean-up.
  • Rentals wishing to use the ice mat will be charged an additional lifeguard charge in the water.
  • An additional lifeguard will be required if the rental exceeds the 35 person limit which is included in the birthday party fee calculation.
  • The cost for larger rentals is calculated based on the number of guards required to supervise the rental and the length of the rental.  1 additional lifeguard fee per hour is charged for each additional 35 people added to a rental.
