Introduction to Creative Writing (20 Years and Older)

In this introductory class, participants will learn techniques and devices for crafting compelling fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry, and receive feedback on their writing from their peers and the instructor in a safe and supportive environment. No class April 4

Jacob Scheier is the author of three full length collections of poetry with ECW Press, including the Governor General’s Award winning More to Keep us Warm. He is also the author of a nonfiction ebook published by The Toronto Star. Jacob’s poems and works of creative nonfiction have been published in magazines and anthologies across North America. Jacob has also been teaching creative writing for over a decade, including for Brandon University in Manitoba and Toronto's Ryerson University’s Chang School of Education, and he has facilitated creative writing workshops with indigenous communities in the Yukon and Ontario. Jacob holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The Ohio State University.

Knitting - Barley Hat ( 15 Years to Adult)

This course is designed to help beginner knitters start and finish their first project using the Barley hat pattern by Tin Can Knits. This course is a continuation of Knitting 101, although it is not a prerequisite. Skills required include how to cast on, knit, and purl. (15 years to adult) No class March 6
