The City of Yellowknife has completed the first round of public engagement for the new Transportation Plan, Let’s Move YK, marking an important milestone in shaping how people will move around the city over the next 25 years.

Santa is extending his stay in Yellowknife this holiday season! On Saturday, December 20, 2025, he’ll be at the Aquatic Centre from 5:00–6:00 p.m., and on Sunday, December 21, 2025, he’ll hit the ice at the Shorty Brown Arena from 6:00–7:00 p.m., bringing festive fun, treats, and cheer for the whole community. Property Tax Payment Reminder 2025

The City of Yellowknife reminds residents that property taxes can be paid through pre-authorized monthly payments. Signing up for automatic payments helps ensure no interest is incurred on late payments. The enrollment deadlines for pre-authorized monthly payments are January 15 and July 15 each year.
