The City of Yellowknife (the City) is ready to welcome residents of Hay River and Kátł’odeeche First Nation that were ordered to evacuate their communities as a result of flooding.
“As residents in Hay River and Kátł’odeeche First Nation endure historic flooding that is wreaking havoc on lives and property, the City is here to support you in your time of need,” Mayor Rebecca Alty.

The City of Yellowknife welcomes the residents of Hay River and Kátł’odeeche First Nation that are evacuating due to extreme flooding. A reception centre has been set up at the Multiplex for the evacuees to register and to shelter. The Multiplex will be closed to the public effective immediately.
